(RTTNews) - Scholar Rock (SRRK), a late-stage biopharmaceutical company developing innovative treatments for spinal muscular atrophy, cardiometabolic disorders, Wednesday announced the appointment of Lisa Wyman as Chief Technical and Quality Officer.

This newly created role is part of the company's strategic evolution as it prepares for its first anticipated drug approval and commercial launch in 2025.

As part of an organizational restructuring, Scholar Rock is eliminating the Chief Operating Officer position and has begun the search for a new Chief Financial Officer. Ted Myles, who currently serves as both COO and CFO, will remain with the company through mid-March before transitioning into a Senior Advisor role for six months to support the leadership transition.

Lisa Wyman joins Scholar Rock from Generate Biomedicines, where she held the position of Chief Technical Operations Officer and was a key member of the executive leadership team.

SRRK closed Wednesday's trading at $42.56 up 0.52 percent or $0.22 on the Nasdaq.
