Brazil Industrial Output Declines 0.6%

(RTTNews) - Brazil's industrial production decreased for the second straight month in November, preliminary data from the statistical office IBGE showed on Wednesday.

Industrial production dropped 0.6 percent monthly in November, following a 0.2 percent fall in October.

Among the activities, the most important positive influence came from motor vehicles, trailers, and bodies, which plunged 11.5 percent over the month. The production of coke, petroleum products, and biofuels fell by 3.5 percent.

On a yearly basis, industrial production grew 1.7 percent in August, slower than the 5.9 percent increase in the prior month. However, it was the weakest growth in six months.
