Halodoc Deploys More Available Doctors Amidst Coronavirus Outbreak

JAKARTA, Indonesia, 4 Maret 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- To increase community preparedness in anticipating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the integrated health platform Halodoc runs an official protocol for doctors within the Halodoc ecosystem. The said protocol covers standardized procedure of common signs identification, recommendations of treatment, and provision of referral hospital list from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes). Halodoc also increased the number of available doctors to ensure all users can communicate with them regarding complaints related to Corona symptoms whenever and wherever they need.

The Ministry of Health has provided a 24-hour hotline following the identification of the first two positive COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. Meanwhile, World Health Organization (WHO) data showed that globally there were 88,948 COVID-19 cases as of 2 March 2020.

All general practitioners are capable of providing both initial and comparative diagnoses. If further observation is needed, doctors at Halodoc will refer those concerned to the nearest Ministry of Health referral hospital. Doctor appointments can also be booked through the Halodoc app by selecting the 'Make an Appointment in Hospital' or 'Hospital Appointment' menu and choose from a total of 132 hospitals recommended for Coronavirus.
