Frankfurt am Main, February 21, 2025 Press release of the Branicks Group AG Branicks Group AG: HELIO Augsburg fully let after leasing to MyWellness GmbH
Frankfurt am Main, February 21, 2025 - Branicks Group AG (“Branicks”), ISIN: DE000A1X3XX4, one of Germany's leading listed real estate companies, has signed a new long-term lease for around 2,400 sqm in the HELIO business center in Augsburg. The Munich-based letting team won MyWellness GmbH as a long-term partner and tenant for the attractive location in the center of Augsburg. Following a conversion phase, MyWellness will open and operate a day spa on the site of the former bowling center under the tenant's management. With this letting of the last large available space, the HELIO is almost fully let. “Since the acquisition of HELIO, we have been creatively shaping the station environment in Augsburg and taking into account the trends in retail, gastronomy and leisure offerings, such as the increasing demand for entertainment, relaxation and experiences under one roof. Against this backdrop, the planned MyWellness GmbH day spa is an excellent addition to the existing tenant structure and will make the center even more attractive. Together with the largely completed renovation of Augsburg's main railway station and the redesign of the station forecourt, HELIO, which is now almost fully let again, is contributing to the high appeal of this city quarter,” said Johannes von Fürstenberg, Senior Manager of Branicks Onsite GmbH in Munich, a subsidiary of Branicks Group AG. MyWellness GmbH is a pioneer and market leader in the German day spa industry. Founded in September 2012, the Dortmund-based company currently employs around 500 people and operates 11 locations across Germany. “By signing the lease in Augsburg, we are fulfilling the great wish of our guests to finally offer a branch in southern Germany,” says MyWellness founder and Managing Director Thomas Kanitz. “This location also supports our expansion strategy of providing relaxation in other major cities across Germany in the future.” Branicks acquired the building complex at Viktoriastrasse 3 in Augsburg in 2019 as part of a third-party mandate. The HELIO has a total area of around 37,000 sqm, which is divided between retail, office, gastronomy, entertainment and services. It is connected to the district heating network and has a parking garage with 582 parking spaces, some with e-charging stations, as well as a bicycle parking garage. Branicks was advised on the letting by Colliers Munich.
